Are all posts moderated?

I just joined, an I was wondering if every single post is requires moderation or if this is only applied to new forum members. I understand why this might be done to block spammers, but it's not the greatest user experience.

Only applies to the first two (IIRC) posts from new members. This policy has immensely helped the SPAM problem around here. And it forces the overpaid moderators to actually do their job now and then.

Mike is a great guy and all but unless he hit the lottery and didn't tell me he isn't overpaying anyone around here.

How long should you wait after submitting a post and not sseeing before you contact an admistrator? When that time comes should I just pick one at random?

This is my 4th post. The first 3 were submitted for moderation. At this time, only the 1st has actually shown up. If this post also goes into the moderation queue, I guess the "first 2" theory may not describe the current situation.

It just means your time expectations aren't aligned with the website.

We aren't sitting in an office collecting a salary and moderating posts. We're just a couple of guys in the US that volunteer to check in occasionally during the day. So, a post might clear in an hour or overnight. And, you are moderated until the 2nd post clears.
