Got a hot deal to share, info about a vendor, gear to sell, or a question about where to buy?

Antec SOLO: $45 after MIR! (7-27 to 8-3)

@ Newegg. Linky

Fantastic deal. $100 is a bit overpriced for a standard case with no PSU IMHO. Antec also seems to be having many large discounts on several of their products.

The Solo is a great case but be sure to send your rebate info by registered mail. When I bought a Solo with a $40 rebate I got screwed and lied to repeatedly. I never collected. Details of the rebate said to allow twelve weeks after submission for the check. When my check did not arrive I contacted the rebate agent who informed me that I could still collect if I would email PDF or JPG copies of the rebate form, sales receipt and bar code. So I emailed back and included all of this information. The rebate agent then replied that the rebate period had ended. I tried calling Antec directly and was given a phone runaround and no one would ever return calls. In all a very frustrating experience.

often this is a catch 22, because by the time you have waited for the check the rebate period has ended, as in your case Michael.

the only way rebates can work financially for the company is if they screw some (but not all) of the people. often this is done by chronically underfunding the department that is supposed to deal with the rebate paperwork.

I ordered this. Price is actually $15 than listed in subject line due to shipping. Still a good deal. With rebate, comes to $61.
