Antec P182 Special Edition $80 at Fry's - YMMV

Post by cb95014 » Mon May 12, 2008 4:30 pm

This was on close-out at the local Sunnyvale CA store, and I picked-up the last one. There may be more at other Fry's locations.

However, as-always with Fry's, YMMV. The SKU is 5178476 and the exact price is $79.90 with a red tag (i.e., close-out).

This is a great price on a beautiful case. As long as you don't have small children. :D

See http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=81803 for details.

Not sure I love the "mirror finish" though?

Same here in Sacramento.

If only I could justify buying it; especially since I have nothing to put in it...

IL fry's had the same deal and even had at least one one the shelve. I didn't take it because I just don't think I can stand mirror shine panels.

I did score $30 Solo on Friday though :D

FWIW, I built a computer for a friend with this case and he & his wife really like the mirror finish.

They say that it blends very nicely into the room rather than looking like a black blob.

That is very true. I picked up a P182SE and was surprised how it blends into the room. I picked it over the regular P182 because of the price and thought I wouldn't like the panels, but now I'm glad I have them.

I had a feeling these are going on clearance at Fry's because their floor models look so nasty.
