9600 GSO $35

at newegg, the Asus 9600 GSO is $35 after rebate, with free shipping. May need a quieter fan, though maybe undervolting it would be enough -- they say it runs cool.

I decided to pick one up yesterday along with a Samsung 1TB drive + Dock combo. I'll just throw on my 3850's Arctic Cooling cooler, so I wasn't worried about it.

Anyone want a 3850? :-) (Not Snow Leopard Hackintosh friend, unfortunately - good card otherwise)

Also get 10% cashback from bing.com if you search for "Newegg".

Got mine

Mine mine delivered over the weekend - overall, not too bad for the price.

- Doesn't use more power than the 3850 that it replaced, though the 3850 is arguably faster.
- The cooler is like a hair-dryer - pretty noisy despite what the Newegg reviews state. I believe all gamers are half-deaf, or half gamers are all-deaf.
- An Arctic Cooling S1 rev. 2 fits reeel nice. Quiets her down a bit, too. :-)
- Works in a Hackintosh with minimal fuss - just call it an 8800GT with an EFI string.
