watercoolinguk.co.uk sells the YL D12SL in their eBay store and website for a reasonable price. Has anyone tried them? What was the batch like?

To clarify why I'm asking.

From what I gathered the 120mm sleeve-bearing Yate Loon fans come in a few variations, depending on the order specification.

* With 25 or 30mm motor (the latter being favourable)
* With or without smoothing capacitor (with of course being better)
* Varying degrees of quality in the overall craftsmanship, although the propeller function isn't really affected by that.

edit: btw. the Nexus fan has all three of the qualities and a resistor reducing the voltage supplied to the motor. They are just ludicrously expensive in the UK.

The Nexus fans can be bought at quietpc.com. Perhaps their price isn't that expensive?

They add a hefty delivery charge. It's more of a principle thing :)

Thanks, I must have over-looked that post in the thread. Sounds promising.
