Just got my Enermax 420W noisetaker....

This PSU is much quieter then my Antec 430 True.. IM also getting much better 12V readings.. My antec was giving me 11.7-11.8 on the 12Volt side and the Enermax 420W is giving me 11.98-12.04. I have 3 hard drives two of them are SATA raptors, Geforce 6800, and a Plextor DVD burner along with 3 case fans, 1 panaflow cpu fan and a Nexus fan controller.. plus this system is an XP2500 overclocked to XP3200 speeds.. runs solid! Ive got an Artic Silcner 5 on the way for my video card and have a few vibration points to eliminate.. other then that its solid!

A bit off topic, but how do you check the power meter? Is there a program to download, or are you using a volt meter?

You can monitor voltage with programms like speedfan or aida32 for example

I was using the PC health menu in the Bios.. I figured it would be the most accurate. Really happy with this new PSU.. Only bad thing is beucase it moves less air there is more heat in my case... plus I just went from a FX5600 to a 6800 video card so my case temps really creaped up. I have an Artic Silencer NV 5 on the way to help eject some of the video cards hot air out of the case. But even with the extra heat everthing runs solid.

that's cool its so much better, but 2 quick things.
1) pc health(in bios) is going to have no load on the rails ( cd-roms not spinning, hdd's idling, video card will be displaying minimal details, no 3d at all,) so readings are going to be better then what they are under load
2) bios/any software isn't going ot be precise, AT ALL. now the rails got better, which is a good sign, but seriously the sensors are outta whack... to get good readings use a DMM

for instance, MBM5 says my 12V line is at 11.8, but i look at it with my DMM, and its 11.89....quite a difference, 11.8 i might be worried about, 11.89 im happpy with :)

not raining on your parade, i LOVE enermax psu's, they're the BEST in my opionion( then why do i have this zalman?!?!!)!! :)
