No SPCR reviews of Tagan 480W yet?

Hey everyone,
I'm back with a new question! I'm looking at getting a new PSU for my new A-64 system. I have a 3000+ 90nm A-64 on an MSI Neo2 Platinum motherboard that has been giving me major issues. And it was recommended to me to upgrade from my Seasonic SuperTornado 300W to give the new beast some more juice. I have no complaints with my Seasonic (recommended to me by the fine folks here no less) but it's just not giving me the 25A on the 12V rail like I need. Someone said I should get the Tagan 480W but I've heard nothing about it except for the reviews on Newegg (which I don't really trust) and would like to know your thoughts. Also, has anyone successfully built a PC using the Seasonic 300W, MSI Neo2, and a 3000+ A64 (with 2 optical drives, a Radeon 9800 Pro, and 2 7200rpm HDDs)?

Specifically what tagan 480w model? Their web site shows two models.

This review says it has 3 fans. That's weird. Their website shows one model with a grill. The whole point of having an inline fan arrangement would be to prevent the hot air from the cpu from going through the psu. Strange.

Either one really, but I was specifically asking about Tagan 480-U01.

Yes... and I found some good hits, but I was specifically looking for an SPCR review. Hence the thread title. I value SPCR's focus on quiet and quality. But, I will use the link you gave me.

I personally like the inline fan arrangement and would like to see a test, but I think the tagan is like the ocz powerstream that has already been tested. So I'm not sure if I would count on a review anytime soon.

Thanks, I'll check out the OCZ review/test. That will help me make a decision.

Why do you think you need more power?
How did you locate the source of the instability to your PSU?

Your system is in the 120-130W DC range, I can't see why
a 300W PSU shouldn't be able to handle that.

I have read some complaints about Tagan, search the forum!

The previous problems with Tagan psu's are solved in the 2nd revision, I know quite a lot of people that have a tagan, because it's cheap down here, but on the downside these things run really hot so you need a good airflow to keep it cool, the sound seems like it doesn't ever ramp up.
