l1a ok for trupower 380w single fan

Will it be enough to keep that p.s. running?

A panaflo L1a to replace the stock fan in an antec 380w single fan p.s..

I think I should probably run it at 12 volts,

Thanks

OK - it's installed. It's quieter then the old zalman w/the resistor and seems to move more air.
I feel like I'm talking to myself though -

I guess no-one who read the thread had done that on that PSU before. As a rule, if the new fan produces the same or better airflow with less noise, then you're fine. You could reduce the voltage until it matches the airflow you were getting before, but that's only worth it if it's still the noisiest part of your system.

Great thanks. I think the beauty of this is that even though this thread had little response the next person who has a question about a l1a in that power supply will use the search function (hopefully) and see my experiences.

Now I'm going to try to put a zalman resistor inline as it is by far the biggest noisemaker in this system.

I've put an L1A in as the exhaust fan of an Antec SL350S (or P, can't remember) which helped the noise a bit - cooling seemed better and the fans didn't ramp up as quickly. Still not as quiet as I'd like though - Seasonic S12 something on the way soon :)
