Seasonic S12-330 VS super silencer 300 : who is more quiet ?

I'm trying to decide between these two power supplies.

My system does not need much power. I read the excellent review for both of these power supplies but don't really know which one is more quiet. The benchmark was done at different time and different environments.

I have Super silencer 300 and I can still hear the fan under very low load. If S12-330 is not going to be much more quiet than Super Silencer 300, I will probably go with fanless power supply instead.

They're also of different ages. S12 is ATX v2.2, Silencer is ATX v1.3, What are you running?

Personally, I think this will be similar to the old Tornado vs. Silencer debates, which was that generally speaking the Tornado, but if you were willing to do a fan swap on the Silencer, you could do straight-through PSU ducting to reduce improve cooling and reduce fan speed.

I plan to use it with socket 754 MB AGP video card so ATX 1.3 is fine. The rest of components do not use much power. Thanks for the info that the super tornado is more quiet. I found $20 SS tornado 300W at computergate for about $20. If they really ship me the PS at that price, I'll post it to everyone.

I got mine last week and it was $20 for Super tornado 300W. It is distinctively more quiet than Super Silencer. I tried to order one more from computer gate but it was out of stock. So I guess I was lucky to get that one.
