Running many harddrives

I'm about to add a 7200.8 SATA drive to one computer with 3 7200.7 ATA drives. The computer has Athlon XP1800+, GF4 Ti, 512mb DDR, a DVD burner and runs on a Nexus 300watt PSU. Think this is safe (eg during spin up)?

well, based on the FAQ and some posts, I would guess this is ok. I'd especially appreciate feedbacks from those who are running at least 4 drives. Again I'm mostly concerned about the spin-up power spike.

You'll be good. Your PSU will switch itself off if it can't handle the load. There's no danger to the drives. If you're overloading your PSU, it may die sooner than expected, but I wouildn't worry about momentary overloads..

You can find the info for your Seagate drives here. The power draw is listed in their datasheets.

Also, be sure to monitor the extra heat being introduced -- especially if the drives are very close together.
