Fortron ax450-pn... any good?

Is this any good? I think it's relatively new and I can't find any reviews. Silence is my #1 priority right now. I'm thinking of coupling this with an antec slk3000B.
Otherwise, I'll just get a 3700BQE.
Thanks for any info you can provide on this PSU.

Fortron usually produces high quality PSUs. However, that doesn't mean that they are quiet. Most fortrons reviewed on this site and the Fortron BlueStorm I have are fairly quiet. They aren't the quietest, but they're very reliable.
For the PFC question, I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't have active PFC. Many PSUs sold in the US don't have active PFC. I think its only a requirement in Europe and some other countries around the world.

So I might as well go with the Antec slk3700bqe? Theres not real price difference for me.
Also, where can I get a good description of what PFC is?
edit: got that part

2nd edit: Why should I care about PFC?

I have a 3700AMB and a fortron FSP350PN. The fortron was quieter. Yeah the BQE version of the smartpower 1 is a bit quieter than the normal two fan version, but that fortron was of the generation before bluestorms, with worse fan control (and the one I have had a high speed yate loon).cloneman wrote:So I might as well go with the Antec slk3700bqe?
Don't get a 3700BQE if you can get a 3800B instead, the 3800 comes with a smartpower 2.0.

Just look at the pictures of the PSU internals in the reviews and you can see this is not true.OUTLAW wrote:On dfi street forum i read that seasonic s12 psu"s are in fact fsp-s blue storm in black casing
