i used to have the enermax noisetaker EG425P 420W PSU and now i have the 400W enermax liberty....
i find that the noisetaker was quiter overall. after 2 years it did start to develop a bit of a bearing noise but when brand new, should be quieter than the liberty. even with the bearing noise, it's still a bit quiter than the liberty.
i don't currently have the fan RPMs but i can definitely find out for you if you want. the old enermax is still running in another computer.

it depends, i have 400W liberty in my main rig and a 365W 1.5Year old noistaker in server.
The noistaker has loud bearing noise comming from both fans, but the bottom one is loder.
Liberty is quiet with side panels open, it spins at 1100rpm, but if i close the sidepanell, case starts to warm up and after a hour i find it spinning at 1480rpm which is not silent, but not as loud as noistaker.
Im thinking of DIY case with better air flow...
both mashines have oced X2, running folding all the day, but when i pause folding, the liberty drops to 950rpm which is inaudible even with open case...

i didnt understand what you mean by running folding
does liberty has manual fan control as noisetaker
i wont open side panels of the case
but i can place good fans and that may help cooling and air flow
i dont know if i overclock the system yet
but it seems i will use amd 4600
and my graphics card wont be like 8800 gts it will be a medium or low level card
my case might be open for day and night in my room
so i like it to be silent
even under load
because i might use it for rendering
looking at both your writings i couldnt come up with a conclusion
your opininons seems contrary to each other
any suggestions welcome
i will try seasonic 650 W because lower models are not in stock or enermax 450 W or over or be quiet series 450 W or over models
running folding = program that simulates protein folding to help fighting cancer. In other words 100% load on CPU and ramcasebuyer wrote:thanks for the reply peoplemad_man wrote:it depends, i have 400W liberty in my main rig and a 365W 1.5Year old noistaker in server.

and liberty does not have manual fan settings.
Btw, i removed teh stock fan grill. It makes a lot of noise....
first of all the model i am asking is noisetaker II is that quieter than noisetaker I
also the problem is seasonic s12 is not in stock of the retailers in my counttry below 650 W
so if i buy seasonic s12 i should buy a 650 W model
other than that there is listan be quiet and enermax models
that is why i am asking
