My TPII started to keep huge rattling bearing noise and I cannot RMA it. Its 2,5 years old PSU and I've lost receit.

My choices are either do Fanswap, which I've never done. Or buy Corsair HX 520W

I think I would ask around bit about fanswap first. Would F-model scythe S-flex ( 1600 rpm ) be overshot and E-model ( 1200 rpm ) be enough ?

Any tips, suggestions ,advices and links how to do fan swap etc are welcomed.

Edit: Yes I forgot to put system its powering:

Motherboard: Asus A8M32-Sli Delux
CPU: Amd X2 3800+ Manchester
CPU Cooler: Thermalright HR-01 K-8 with NCB fan.
Memory: 2 x 512mb Corsair XMS TWINX 1024-3200C2
Hdd: Samsung Spinpoint P Series 80 GB Ide.
PSU: Antec TruePower II 550W
Vga-cards: 2 x Gainward GF 7900gs Golden Sample with stock two slot cooling. ( Quite quiet in once you set those with Rivatuner )
Sound card: Soundblaster Live 24-bit. I would use onboard audio, but I had conflict with one game, so I put this instead and game ran smoothly. I haven't removed it.
Case: Antec P182B
Case fans: Antec Tri-Cools on low.
Keyboard: Logitech Office keyboard ( bulk )
Mouse: Microsoft / Razer Habu
Mousepad: steelpad 4S
Monitor: Nokia 447xi 17" CRT

Moro thejamppa (AKA thedude) :)

Depending on the PSU fan controller, power usage etc the two fans might spin at similar speeds anyway, so I would go for the 1600RPM fan to allow better cooling if required.

This particular power supply forum has a sticky about PSU fan swaps.

I wouldn't recommend changing slower speed fan than original to these older Antecs made by CWT, many of those have already big enough reliability problems without heating components more.

Be very careful with a fan swap on a PSU prone to Fuhjyyu sudden death sindrome.
Take a look inside your PSU, maybe you'll see some caps like these:

Those pics are 2 days old from a SP2 500 (same Fuhjyyu problems). That guy run perfect with a X1950PRO or even 8800GTS but it has problems with 2xX1950PRO Crossfire.
So be careful with fan swap in SP/TP.

I'd say to go with Corsair HX520.

you're maybe right... After all... HX is modular and has longer cords. I can make much better cabling in my P182B.
