Corsair 450vx vs Seasonic S12 II 430

Post by CocoBryce » Sun Jul 20, 2008 8:50 am

Hello there,

I'm having some doubts about what PSU I should buy. I am mostly concerned abot the noise level, so I would like to know what is the best choice between the two. I read the reviews on spcr and apparently the Corsair is more quiet especially at low loads, but after I have listened to the mp3 recordings the one from Seasonic seemed more quiet. Also, is this model of corsair made by Seasonic or just the HX series?

I am a silent freak and the PSU is paramount from this pov. Any help?
Thank you.

later edit: this is my system config:
CPU E2200
2*1GB ddr2 800mhz
1*320 gb HDD
1*dvd-rw unit
2 system fans
vga 7600gs

AFAIK it's made by Seasonic

i can't say anything about Seasonic S12 II 430 but my Corsair 450vx is inaudible, so you'll be hearing your *noisy* hard drive, CPU cooler fan, system fan, video card fan, etc :)
