Zalman powersupply, which one?

Post by nsx241 » Thu Apr 23, 2009 12:13 am

Thinking of getting a zalman zm850, but I'm a bit concerned about the repeated postings of whining/buzzing when there is inconsistent load, though nothing that seems for certain.

There is also the new ZALMAN ZM770-XT 770 which seems to be their next iteration of the zm series, but I've found no (reliable) reviews of it.

If you're wondering about my system, I have an gtx 285 SLI system and a core 2 quad, but almost everything is water cooled, so I'm trying get as silent as possible.

I currently have a BFG ES 800, which is fairly quiet, but after gaming for a bit the fan really starts to ramp up and can be heard over all 4 of my case fans.
