Promotion for Seasonic X-460, but review of X-400 ??
Hi all...
So the Seasonic review awhile back was for the X-400 model, but the promotion is for the X-460 model.
Has the X-460 even been reviewed here?

All I'm saying is that if 400W fanless has same guts as 650W fanned then maybe 460W fanless would have equal guts to 750W fanned unit. It would be totally weird to sell the same psu with different ratings as some of the previous posts seem to claim.
I'd definitely get a fanless seasonic if I were in the market for a new psu ATM.

Quoting dhanson865 in another recent thread:
More probably that not just a 15% difference in power rating might be due only to the two main caps (if any modification actually has been made): obviously no cap may affect noise, as already elsewhere said.

No, it wouldn't be weird at all. They mus guarantee in case of the 460W model that it can pull those 460W. That doesn't mean they must have different components at all - they can be made as 400W with one PCI-E connector and 460W with two PCI-E connectors, while the rest of the PSU can be exactly the same.lm wrote:All I'm saying is that if 400W fanless has same guts as 650W fanned then maybe 460W fanless would have equal guts to 750W fanned unit. Yeah hardware secretscould pull 600 W from the 400w on overload test and it was still presenting extremely high efficiency (88%)
