Post by ckang008 » Sun Mar 27, 2011 6:35 am

Hi,

I got this japanese otonashi power supply which i'm looking to use on my new pc build. I was wondering what is the max wattage cpu and video card this psu can handle.

attached is the japanese spec

350W is the peak output and normal output is 300W

Thanks

To get some ballpark figures, the equation to convert watts to amps is watts/volts = amps.

So pick a real peak power level (TechPowerUp! is a good source for these values) and compare with your available peak levels.
Then do the same for the average max power levels and compare with your available steady state levels (the ones without the "*" mark).
You have also to clearly understand which wires are referring to the 12v1 and 12v2 rails (I think that 12v1 should be the CPU connector, but who knows).

On the other hand, it looks like a rather old unit (I guess so by the hefty ratings on 3.3/5V rails): does it have the 4/8pin CPU connector?
