i'm oking for a QUIET and reliable drive - samsung spinpoint

i've got a seagate 7200.8

it gets the job done, but it's a little loud. i'd like to get another 250gb samsung drive and use that as my main drive. the seagate would be the clean drive, and i would ghost everything onto the samsung. then i can trojan the samsung and not care about viruses...and just ghost it back. (this wouldn't change my c:docs settings to d:docs settings would it?)

so here's my question. which samsung should i buy?? there is the spinpoint t, t166, 401, 403,501, lj, kj etc. which is the newest drive??

Samsung drives are so inexpensive that I would buy the 500GB HD501LJ for about $110 to $120. In the past I have purchased seven Spinpoints including four of the 500GBs, one 400GB and two 160GB. All four of the 500GBs are equally quiet with inaudible seeks when suspended.

If you will do a search for the HD501LJ on these forums you will find many happy owners.
