Does any one know where you can find a silencer for a laptop drive? or if there even are any?

I just encased my laptop drive in 4lb of plasticine and it made a world of difference. Temps are great (~35) and the drive is all but inaudible. Just put the plasticine in thick bags and put it in a box (I used the box my HR-05 SLI came in). The only downside of this method is the amount of room it takes up.

well i found one, dont know if the hdd would get hot in it seeing how it doesnt have fins or anything

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... _-17984003

it would also be cool to see some one stick that with a laptop drive in the scythe quiet drive made for 3.5 hdds, double silencing

any one find any others?

You can even use this 2.5 inc enclosure together with the 3.5inh version for the ultimate solution,to make a real silent sandwich.
