I need to fit 2 of the 2.5" OCZ SSDs in 1 Scythe Quiet Drive, is this possible?

A better question would be, why are you trying to enclose noiseless disks? :P

I only have 1 3.5" bay open in my P180 and need somewhere to put them
the noise is obviously not an issue
only thing I'm worried about is the heat, otherwise, I'd just cram them in there

Fair enough, that makes a lot more sense. :)

Really though I doubt heat would be an issue, these things don't use hardly any power (maybe a few watts max). Why not try just cramming them in there and seeing how temps do? I'm assuming the drives support SMART and you can monitor temps in Windows. If not, you can use the finger-test to judge temps.

that's what I plan to do, just seeing if anyone had some thoughts :)

I stuffed mine under the bottom HDD cage. :) Perhaps not the best option, but since I seldom move the case around it works just fine.

have you checked the temperature?

No, it doesn't show up in DTemp.

But with a rated power consumption of 0.5W idle and 2W load I'm confident that the temperature is well withing tolerance. My SSD is rated for 0-70C (most HDDs are 5-55C) and at 2W max.. At such a low heat output the aluminium casing would be heatsink enough, even with very little air movement. And besides, it's laying against the bottom of the case.

I only have a single SSD (Mtron), but am planning on getting a second in the near future. I've been looking at ways to mount them properly, and this is the best solution I've found thus far: http://www.raidsonic.de/en/pages/produc ... ectID=5054

Should work pretty well?
