I just got back from Fry's. I bought a new western digital 320GB SE16 Drive. The manufactured date is 12-08 and the revision on the hard drive is 00G3A0?? Which version is that? Is it the single platter or double platter? I've never heard of this revision...

I'm at work now. As soon as I get home I will. I'm very curious myself, give me a couple of hours and I'll post an Hd Tune score...

Can I reformat my computer after installing a new dvd writer and a new hard drive? I installed a new dvd dl writer and a new (larger capacity) hard drive on my computer about a month ago. will be upgrading my RAM soon. I'd like to reformat but will I need to temporarily reinstall the old parts or can I just reformat as is?
