Short depth optical drive list

I'm doing a build using a Lian Li PC-C37B case and due to clearance issues (this is a VERY compact case) I'm trying to find a list of short-depth optical drives. I need something that can at least read DVD-ROMs though burning is nice but not critical. It should also be SATA. so I'm not dealing with ribbon cable hell. Also, a black faceplate would be nice.

Any ideas?

Samsung makes 170mm deep DVD drives. Also, you could get a "slim" optical drive, which all have the same depth of about 130mm. You'd need an adapter bracket to fit it into a regular 5" bay, and you'll also need a special sata power adapter.

I just came across this fairly short Blu-ray reader plus DVD-writer combo:

Websites vary on the depth, from about 170 to 182mm.

I ended up getting a Samsung SH-S223L. It is, indeed, a very short drive.

Good call, halcyon.

How are people finding the noise levels for just reading on these?

They're getting good reviews and are often on sale cheap. I'm putting together a HTPC system in something the likes of the cheap Apex case that can take a full-size drive.

The unit is about 10-12 feet away, but not behind any kind of door to mask the noise.

Nero DriveSpeed isn't an option as Windows is the only OS I'm sure to *not* run :) I've heard someone say "DriveSpeed or similar" but I don't know what other options there are, other than PlexTools on the old IDE drives, and I'd rather go with affordable new SATA drives if possible.
