Momentus Thin features capacities of 160GB and 250GB on a single platter operating at 5,400RPM with 8MB cache at 7mm in height (vs typical 9.5mm or 12.5mm high laptop drives).

Probably a niche product at this stage of laptop HDD / SSD development though.

I currently have a 160gb drive in my macbook (im assuming single platter since it is sooo much quieter then any 500gb seagate or WD notebook drive).

How would these compare in terms of performance compared to other drives as well as sound would be interesting to see. looking forward to a review;)
