automatic spin-up and spin-down of eSATA

Post by logscool » Tue Oct 26, 2010 6:02 pm

I was wondering if there is a way to spin up an eSATA drive only when needed. Ideally this would be automatic when the drive is trying to be accessed.

If your drive is connected via eSATA, then the drive should spin down according to your system power management settings. If you're running Windows, you can use HDDScan to force the drive to spin down.
