So I finally got a athlon 64 3200+ and I am loving it after a coupld of problems that I recently have. But i undervolted to 1.375V and am currently using a 5v JMC Panther fan I think. The current temperature I am reading is 54c from cpu and 39c from mobo
5v 80mm JMC Panther on cpu
5v 92mm Panaflo M1B on exhaust
was wondering how high is okay for my cpu?
edit: do you think it is a better idea to runt he m1b 5v on the cpu instead?
how hot can a athlon 64 run? (undervolting fan to 5volts)

What HS are you using?
Hello:
You don't mention what HS you are using. And 54C is at 100% load? If so, then it isn't too bad -- if you know what your ambient air temp is, that would have a strong influence on things, as well.

hmm ambient temperature - i don't know lol no thermometer - but it has to be like 80f
the hs i am using is a slk-948u - switched my 92mm fan (5v) to my cpu and its now at 50c/120f so i think i am going to go with that - just ordered a 120mm fan (ralf's p4c rig) and going to see what that is like
i can't wait to get my seasonic and a quieter video card to finish off this rig

80F, huh?
Hello:
Well 80F is on the warm side, so 50C (now) is quite good if that is at 100% CPU load -- like running Folding@Home. Even 54C isn't bad. If the case will take a 120mm exhaust, then that would also be a big help, and at 5v or less, it would still move more air than the two fans you have put together!
