Good undervolt?

I have a Winchester 3000+ and I just tried undervolting it for the first time ever...I have an MSI K8n Neo2.

I've undervolted it successfully to 1.05V, while still at stock speed, and running it fanless on an XP-120. Temps at idle are 24C and with Prime95 they're at 25-26C. I've primed for around 5 hours now without errors.

There are "overclocking databases" online, but it's much harder to find an "undervolting database," so I was wondering just out of curiousity: How good of an undervolt is this?

wow this is exactly the kind of thing i'm planning on doing in a new computer. can you show us a pic of the inside of your computer so we can see what your airflow is like. for example; case fans. or is it completely fanless and passive cpu cooling?

i undervolted my 90nm sempron 754-pin to 1.05 volts as well. do you think i can go passive with a xp-90 and a seasonic tornado as the only fan?

Actually, I'm in Florida...my parents keep the air conditioner at 78 degrees (which I hate because it's too hot for me).

If I get ahold of the cam any time soon, I'll take pics and post them...

But basically, it's passively cooled by an XP-120. I have a chieftec matrix case with 2 crappy 80mm Speeze fans on the rear (exhaust), 1 80mm on top (exhaust), and a 120mm Vantec Stealth (ugh) on the side (intake). All fans are at their lowest speed thanks to my fan controller. I was really dissapointed by the Vantec Stealth, since it's not really quiet unless I turn it all the way down. The PSU is a Thermaltake Silent Purepower 480w modded with a low-flow Panaflo (that I gutted from a PSU a few years ago) at the bottom. It's inaudible unless I play a game, then the rear fan spins up a little. The video card is a Leadtek 6800nu, with the fan gutted and replaced with the stock fan that comes on the stock heatsink of the A64. I use the Neo2's onboard SmartFan crap to lower it down to around 2000 RPM, and it's pretty quiet. The northbridge fan on the Neo2 gives off some whine, but with the side panel on it's inaudible.

The real noise maker in this system is an 80GB Western Digital IDE drive...it whines loud as hell. I encased the hard drive cage in some foam (that lined the bottom of my Neo2's box) and it helped with the noise, but it's still quite audible. Surprisingly the hard drive temps didn't go up much.

Oh, and the CPU is currently at 22C

I wouldn't consider that, or any other undervolt to be stable without running Prime95 for at least 24hrs. By undervolting your system you're doing the exact same thing as someone that's overclocking their system and you should be keeping stability in mind, just like the OC guys (at least the ones that know what they're doing) do.

yeah so do i, the BB edition. i'm conflicted between a samsung 5400rpm notebook drive or a next-gen samsung drive.
