Barton XP-Ms all the same?

Post by qviri » Wed Jul 13, 2005 8:40 pm

Am I right in assuming that all the Barton XP-Ms are basically the same chips, irregardless if they're marked 2200+ or 2600+ by AMD? They just have a different default multiplier setting, right?

And different default vcore too. There're 1.35V and 1.45V.

All right, thanks.

I understand the 1.35V chips possibly don't go as high as 1.45V chips without overvolting?

But at least now I don't have to waste money getting a 2600+ when something lower will suffice.
