I have:
Athlon X2 3800+
DFI nF4 Ultra-D
Lian Li PC-60Plus
The case fans are:
Top (80mm, out)
Back (PSU, out)
Back (120mm blower, out)
Back (80mm, in, ducted to CPU cooler)
Front (120mm in)
I am looking at three methods of cooling:
Big Typhoon (pointing out a hole cut in the side of the PC)
Top, Back, Front fans in (possibly lower voltage)
Scythe Ninja (blowing out back)
Back out
Front, top in
Zalman 7000 or 7700
Case fans as they are now
Which would provide less noise? (cooling is fine with stock HSF)
Do any of these involve removing my motherboard?
I have some thermaltake fans (rated at 20db, but really loud), is the Big Typhoon actually what it says it is?
Is there a better route to take?

I currently have the same CPU with a Zalman 7000 AlCu. I adjusted the fan to 1200 RPM, it's quiet but I can hear it. Here are my temps :
38C on idle, 50C with 2 folding at the same time
I don't want to leave the CPU over 50C because it seems the max it can handle is 65C
I wish I had bought the Big Typhoon, I heard it's a good performer if you change the fan with a quieter Nexus for example. Maybe someone here tried it.
P.S. you'll need to remove the board to install the Zalman 7000 or the Big Typhoon since you need to change the backplate
