Hello all,
I'm building a system with used parts for a friend. Going to put a XP-120 on a P4 2.66. Am thinking about using a spare Antec Tricool at low to cool it.
Anybody ever put the Tricool on the XP-120? Any thoughts?
Thanks

if you already have one, why not? they're not very good fans so don't go out and buy one if you don't have to.

I put and Antec Led Tricool on my SI-120 and it works fine on medium. I hope to replace it with a quieter fan soon, but it works well enough for me. I can't comment on noise since I have no nesux for comparison

It's a nice fan for use in a quiet (but not silent) system.

Thanks for the input. The system I'm going to build doesn't need to be really quiet, and I want to use as many spare parts as possible. So I'll use the Tricool instead of buying another fan. Thanks again.

Run it at low speed. The temperature difference between the two, in my experience, is 2-3c; the difference in perceived noise levels, monumental.
