how would this fan do with a tuniq?

Post by enz660 » Tue Dec 19, 2006 1:46 pm

I dont have many fans with the same cfm rating to compare this to, so im asking here, maybe someone has one or knows where a review has been done?

im wondering how truthfull the specs on that fan are and if it actually DOES produce 89cfm, how would it do with a tuniq since it has many blades? thanks. [/url]

This will be a VERY loud fan at 12V. My guess is that even when undervolted to produce 40cfm or so it will be much louder than the Nexus, Yate Loon, Scythe, etc.

Unless you really need 80+cfm, I'd say avoid this fan. The Yate Loons can do up to almost 50cfm, and the Sythe S-Flex F model does 60+cfm. You'd likely be better suited with those.

All fans will be loud at close to 90CFM. I dont know how much cooling a C2D at 3400mHz needs, but if you really need 90cfm and a tuniq it will be pretty impossible to make it even quiet.
