Where to buy Socket A Thermalright SI-97?

Post by NetTechie » Sun Jul 29, 2007 7:27 am

Where can I find one of these? It appears the big retailers don't have them anymore. I am open to used as well. Where can I find unusual used components like this one?

Does the SI-97A work on a socket A? Thermalright doesn't say so on their web site, but I just noticed a retailer stating it will.

http://www.xoxide.com/thermalright-si-9 ... ooler.html

There you go. And it's on sale too :)

I got one myself too (though not at that shop, I'm in Europe) but have not yet installed it. It'll replace a Zalman CU-5100 on a Palomino XP2000+. I've ordered a 92mm Nexus fan with it, ran it in the test bench and it seems nearly as quiet as the 120mm version, though it runs 500 rpm faster. I don't have any temperature data yet though :?

As far as compatibility: New Thermalright site

You'll find some info there, along with mounting instructions and such in a PDF.

Interesting site. Absolutely no mention of the SI-128 or SI-128 SE. :?:

Jab-tech.com is a great source for Thermalright coolers.

Yep, they're mentioned as individual products. But on the spreadsheet that mentions which HSF fits where, they're nowhere to be seen.

Thanks, I think I'm gonna get one from frozen cpu, they have very good resellerratings.com and are about the same as xoxide. Now to decide on a 92mm fan.....

btw, Jab-Tech doesn't have the SI97A :(

Ah sorry. They may still add the information you're looking for though. The site has gained a lot of content since I first ran into it. I do hope they get rid of the silly frameset when it goes final though.
