Where have all the TRUEs gone?

Post by tutu » Tue Mar 25, 2008 3:55 am

It's not in stock anywhere in the UK. I ordered from scan.co.uk on Wednesday who said "In Stock" but it wasn't. I then ordered from awd-it on Thursday who said "In Stock" but it turned out on Tuesday it wasn't!!

I absolutely loathe putting CPU coolers on. So I am going to have to use the stock Intel HSF for a while until the Ultra-120 eXtreme starts shipping again. I can get the Ninja but the price of the ninja+bolt on kit+delivery comes to the same price as a TRUE in the UK. Plus I am not sure about having to use a extra piece of metal or if it will even fit my GA-P35-DS3P rev 1.1

I don't know what they charge for postage ....

but they are available ex stock from my PC supplier Azerty of Raalte in the Netherlands. Sadly, Azerty does not take credit cards, so you would have to figure out a way to transfer Euros.

I really recommend this store, if you don't find a source in the UK.

But if you are quick, you might get the one in stock here

Dunno about the price, though

It doesnt seem to say in or out of stock, but its worth a try.

I think someone beat me to it - Sorry, this item is out of stock

My new PC is built (C2D E8400, Gigabyte P35-DS3P, ATI HD 3650, P182, Enermax Modu82+, Samsung F1 320,).

My WD 750GB is now noisy (I never heard it before - might be the screws are too tight or I never noticed it because of my old raptor).

Still got the TRUE and the slipstreams to fit when (if) they arrive!!

Bought multiple items from Azerty, more than half the time they are one of the cheapest on pricewatch (tweakers.net). Delivery is fast and service is good.

Thanks for the link. But at current currency conversion rates it would be £35 not including delivery or VAT so it will be very expensive (not that the cooler isn't already expensive now).

Overclockers have had some stock in and mine is being delivered tomorrow :D

Question is - does it matter which way it is mounted? i.e. should the writing "Thermalright" be like this?

or like this:

Or does it not matter

All fitted now. Temps are down 10c compared to the Intel stock 8400 cooler (which was using thermal pad as well). I am using MX-2 on this.

With the 800 slipstream at 5v my computer is virtually silent (I can only hear my WD 750gb hdd!). I'll replace that when I can afford it. :D
