Xigmatek 1283 and Solo - Will it fit?
Will the XIgmatek 1283 fit with the Antec Solo case? I searched but wasn't able to find the combo being mentioned for whatever reason..

I have the S-1283 and the Solo, but unfortunately not in the same machine. My S-1283 is a Mini P180 and it fits fine in that case. I would be surprised if there was a problem with Solo, especially since it does not have a side air chute. The Mini P180 is a little wider than Solo, but I think that is mainly because the Mini P180 has more room behind the motherboard for routing cables.
BTW, I would highly recommend the Xigmatek S-1283 with its direct heatpipe to CPU contact design. I would recommend that you put a little thermal paste on each heatpipe and not just on the CPU (but make sure you don’t use too much).

Not all Xigmateks have direct contact of the heatpipes with the CPU. There may be others with the direct heatpipe to CPU contact, but I don't know which ones. Maybe you could check the Xigmatek website for details.Hellspawn wrote:Going to be in Chicago on Friday and was thinking about stopping by a Microcenter and grabbing one with the rebate.
Is there a difference in the 1283 models other than fan type? It seems not.
I use mine in passive mode (no fan) but the Antec Mini P180 Tri-Cool top case fan is not too far away (mine is running on low speed).
