Need silent cooler for E8400

Post by SSLazio » Thu Dec 04, 2008 10:45 am

I'm looking for a silent cooler but something small not a half pipe, I already had ASUS Silent Square and it was keeping my cpu temperature considerably higher then with normal cooler/fan.

is Zalman CNPS-7700 any good ? is it silent ?

How small are you looking for? What was wrong with the ASUS cooler?

Is a mini ninja small enough?

it was filling my entire pc case and by restricting the air flow my motherboard and cpu were at least 10 degrees higher then they are now with a small normal standard cheap fan ... it doesn't worth it.

I'm looking for something like the Zalman CNPS-7700 Image

An E8400 is not hard to keep cool. A Ninja Mini would be a good choice if you want to keep the size down.

The 7700 has a horrible stock fan. It buzzes even at 5v and its cooling performance is not that great.

There's always Arctic Cooling Alpine 7 series and Scythe Shuriken.

do you think Scythe Shuriken would fit into an Asus P5Q Motherboard ?
