Is there a current review of some good thermal compounds somewhere?
Currently I want to attach a cooler whose baseplate is made out of nickel-plated copper onto an AMD P2 CPU. I got a small package of "Sil More Taiwan" with the cooler. I wonder if "Arctic Silver 5" or "Arctic Silver Ceramique" or "OCZ Freeze OCZTFRZTC" would be better.
Thermal compound comparison?

Thanks! That was very helpful. In fact, it is the only thermal paste review I have seen so far where they actually use a quad-core.ame wrote:X-bit labs has the best review roundup IMO

I see a staggering difference between my included compound and the OCZ Freeze: the latter makes the CPU run 8 degrees C (about 14 degrees F) colder! And the Arctic Silver 5 also, it is almost as good as the OCZ.
