Probably be pretty noisy with that blower fan too.

But who cares how loud it is when it's got that cool blue lighted gizmo on it!

 Hard to believe something like that coming from someone dedicated to achieving the true ultimate silent PC.

Me too. Ralf, you should be ashamed of yourself *slap*

Seriously though, it says 20dB at it's 'slow' setting so it's pretty respectable. Performance would be another thing though.

After Zalman's CNPS-7000A-Cu at 4/5V, I'm all for testing integrated circular heat sink / fan combos.

Some of them just absolutely trounce the competition (normal rectangular heat sink blocks with separate fans, even if panaflo or another brand of the week) at lower voltages in cooling performance.

So, I'm not discounting this baby, yet :)

regards,
Halcyon

Didn't you guys catch the "rolleyes" emoticon in my post? :)

Pretty much anything with a light on it gets no consideration from me at all. I mean WTF does a light have to do with cooling your CPU?

but you said it with such enthusiasm! lol

does that mean the p160 gets no consideration cos it has lights on the front? (that's true for me)

It certainly knocked it down a few notches for me. I kept the lights unplugged the entire time I used the P160 and only plugged them in to take the picture for the article.

3D Cooler ULTRA version (as opposed to 'Pro' version above) reviewed at Neoseeker:

http://www.legionhardware.com/html/doc.php?id=290

Somewhat less louder and more efficient at cooling. Still not the silent/efficient cooler everybody wants.

ULTRA super silent?

What's next?

Mega?
Giga?
Peta?

*shakes head*

Oh, to halt the quest of mental masturbation in the search for an "even greater" name. This constant "one over"-ship is getting pretty rediculous.

But then, that's marketing, I guess. :D

THEY HAVE THAT ALREADY !!!!

Marvelous invention.

It's called the "OFF" button.

Dead quiet ... :D

... just makes using the oversized calculator somewhat challenging :D.
