cpu kernal

Post by fatfro » Fri Apr 02, 2004 12:46 pm

What is the cpu kernal? It seems odd to me that my cup kernal temp is at 108c while my case temp is at 33c and my cpu temp is at 35c. Is there something wrong here? Where should my cpu kernal temp be at in relation to my cpu temp and case temp?

We're gonna need a lot more info here. What CPU type is it, what speed, motherboard, and from where is the temp information coming from?

My cpu is a 1.8 Intel P4 Northwood, aopen ax4b-533 mobo, and I'm getting my readings from MBM 5.

I don't know dude, but on every MB i've owned, out of three sensors, one is always insanely high.

Is that the tubed board!?! schweet!

How does the audio sound?

But yeah, edcrane hit the nail on the head. Not all of the sensors that MBM detects will produce useful results. It depends on which ones the mobo manufacturer actually connected properly, and it tends to vary form model to model. One of my sensors says that my CPU is running at -42°. Nothing to worry about.

Does the 108° vary when the other CPU temp goes up and down, or is it always right on 108°?
