Both are nicely quiet at 5v

I found that the Panaflo 120mm moves jack all at 5v, you can't hear it though lol.

7v works best IMO, you hear a quiet hum (<50cm) and it moves considerably more air.

I've found that (with a well ventilated case) a 5V 120mm Panaflo moves plenty of air, if not too much air.

intx - Most L1As have a slight ticking noise, even at 5V which seems to vary from sample to sample.

I'd look at some of the alternatives, like the Papst, Evercool etc, and even the inexpensive Globe 120mm low speed. I've recently played with three of these and they were pretty quiet and each sounded the same as the other. You can get them for around $8-9 each.
