Glacialtech Fans

Post by JBDan » Tue Sep 27, 2005 11:44 pm

I am new here, obviously, but have been a silence fanatic for about 2 years. I have been visiting here for the last 2 years as well. I will get to the point now lol....Does anyone here know about/ever used/are familiar with their latest 9225 line of fans? If not, how about their "entering bearing" 120mm's or their "2-ball bearing" 120mm's? I think some of you here are from Au so I thought maybe I could get the low-down on these fans. I found this> http://www.glacialtech.com/pdf/1225EBDL.pdf
and this> http://www.glacialtech.com/pdf/12025.pdf and
then I read this> http://www.glacialtech.com/sub-newsroom20.htm
I currently use 4 Nexus's all @ ~650rpm in a P180, pcp&c 425W dlx w/ fan mod, top vent closed and dampened, & a rear exhaust dampener/diverter, so I know, or atleast I think I know lol, what quiet is, but always looking for that one "quieter" fan. So, anyone w/ experience on these fans?

I am using these Glacialtech fans in my systems. These fans are quiet (950-1000rpm @12V) and, more importantly, very affordable (I can get about 2 Glacialtechs for 1 Nexus). There are concerns on the ball-bearing used with these fans, but I have not encountered any problems with them so far. I have no experience with Nexus/Papst fans.

Cheers!

Threads about these fans pop out every now and then, try a search on "glacialtech" in fans & control and youll find more info :) I have a couple of these fans, and they are pretty good but if i had to shoose the nexus or this id choose the nexus definately, so if you already have nexuses i wouldnt bother with these.
