the abit AB9-Pro has way more (7)

CPU, SYS, NB, PWR, AUX1, AUX2, AUX3

CPU = 4-pin (compatible w/ 3-pin) the rest are all 3-pin. Controllable via BIOS FanEQ. (not sure about controllability w/ SpeedFan).

The Asus P5W DH has five: CPU, PWR1, PWR2, CHA1, CHA2.

CPU is 4-pin (3-pin compatible), others are 3-pin.

All can be controlled/sensed with SpeedFan, in three groups, as implied by the naming.
