92mm for a 90mm?

Post by matva » Sat Jun 02, 2007 10:03 pm

ok this may sound really dumb, but would i be able to install a 92mm fan (the nexus) in a case fitted with a 90mm. i imagine the screws just wouldn't line up. any thoughts? i guess i could soft mount it with zip ties which is probably wat i should be doing in the first place.

90mm fans are really 92mm fans. It's just that some people will refer to 92mm fans as 90mm for the sake of, uhhh, not wasting that much time having to say 'two' instead of 'zero'. Duh. Screws will mount properly, no worry. Also, Scythe Kaze Jyu 100mm has holes that allign with places for 92mm fans.
Softmountig with zipties is also a VG idea.

BTW - is it me, or yur P150 gallery pix won't open?
