Hi guys,
I am after a fan that will perform great and push ALOT of air when run at 12v and one that I can connect to my rheobus and turn down to 5-7v and sleep at night. I've been looking at the Panaflo FBA12G12H 103.8 CFM, 41.5dBA. Just wondering, how loud would this be at 5v's? Would it spin at all?
Or would I be better off geting a tricod at 70 odd cfm or something else, any reconmendations?

Have you looked at the SPCR Recommended Fans articleand recent SPCR fan tests (see links at end of article)?
1. There are no miracle fans.
2. There are better fans. Usually they have some variation of a sleeve bearing for lower noise. Ball bearings tend to be noisier.
3. All fans start to become audible above 1000 rpm.
4. If you need 70-100+ CFM, you're probably not in the right place. Around SPCR, 20-40 CFM seems to be plenty.

Noiseblocker XL2 Rev.2s are nice as exhaust fans. Sleeve bearings, 1400 RPM maximum, reacts to the full range(5-11V) of a Zalman Fanmate 2.
What are you looking to use it for? Maybe you don't need a gargantuan, industrial-level fan.
