Looking for recommendations for 92mm, low cfm, low db bans

Post by glassfalls » Mon Mar 03, 2008 1:47 pm

I've got an Antec Solo case with two front mounted 92mm Antec Tricool fans and one rear mounted Scythe 120mm "E" model. The other day I noticed that it was too noisy. Checked out the fans, it turned out one of the 92mm fans had a buzz and both 92 mm fans were individually just as noisy as my Scythe. So, I'm looking for a replacement (that I can get in the States). Low cfm (20 to 30) and as low decibel as I can get. Any recommendations most appreciated. Oh, the 92 Tricools were set on the lowest speed.

Thanks

Tom

I'd go the cheap route.

Consider http://www.jab-tech.com/product.php?productid=3774 or http://www.digiconcepts.com/arcticcooli ... ies_05.htm depending on cost after S&H to your zip code and hard wire them to 5 volts.

The last time I did a Solo I used the Scythe 92mm that jab-tech had but it hasn't been in stock in so long I don't expect it to ever be in stock again.

Based on cost/noise level, the Arctic Cooling AF9225, widely available in the US of A for ~$5 (see Google/products) is a good choice when undervolted. Newegg is currently out of stock, but there are lots of other sources.
