I found one at a computer store (used). It a Sanyo Pico Ace 15. Model#.... 109P0612A704, 0.06Amp, 15mmx60mm, made in Japan. A google search found a bunch of different models with this name, but not the exact model #.
It's very nice and seems to run about 2000rpm max. The fan tail has only two wires, but it looks like the solder point for the third sensor wire could be used. The central hub looks to be the same size as the 80x15 San Ace. (big) It sounds like a ball bearing fan from close-up, but at a foot or so away, there is no bearing noise.
The San Ace 80x15 costs about $19 at Sidewinder Computers. At $3 this one was a steal.....
A quiet, high-quality 60mm fan. Sanyo Pico Ace.

Where are you using the 60mm fan? I cant think of anywhere it would be useful. On the north/south bridge sure, but you can easily get passive cooling for those, and most boards already passively cool them, so unless your majorly overclocking them it wont matter. Nowhere else in your system would make sense having such a small fan.
Some HTPC cases take 60mm fans.FartingBob wrote:Nowhere else in your system would make sense having such a small fan.
Decent quiet 40/50/60mm fans are like hens teeth, as witnessed by the periodic "Q: what quiet 60mm fan should I buy?" "A: There aren't any!" threads
Basically: it's useful info for some even if it's not for others

FartingBob.....( ). I've read many posts looking for such a thing. This makes a very nice HD cooling fan, where space is at a premium. You have to realize not everyone needs a 120mm fan.....or even an 80mm fan for that matter, in some setups. I have at least two such setups using a 60mm fan, one of which will soon have this Sanyo.

For example - 2x60mm fans.
