Allegedly. In XP Home SP3 and on my fanless 3850, I see no options in the Catalyst Control Center to control GPU fan speed. While I don't need to use it, I was hoping that I could at least check it out for you all.Catalyst Control Centerâ„¢ Fan speed control

Should this work on all Ati 4870's? I just installed a Pallit 4870 1gig for a friend, couldn't see the option in the control centre to adjust fan speed.
I downloaded the latest drivers, am i doing something wrong? Tried ati tool but it's very slow and doesn't have the option. Would it be due to the fcooler having 2 fans?

The fan option should be their from the 8.10 drivers and up. installed 2 systems this week one with the 4850 and one with the 4870 and both had the fan option. You have to enable the overdrive feature in the CCC for the fan option to work. If you leave it default the option for fan control will be greyed out...
