140mm fans...

Post by TheAtomicKid » Sun Nov 23, 2008 10:07 pm

Out of curiousity, do we have even an unofficial list of recommended 140's? Considering replacing top fans in a pair of Antech 300 cases. To be honest, the tri-cools aren't 'that bad' on low, but... weighing options.

There simply are very few 140mm fans. Antec tri-cools, i think scythe has one on one of its heatsinks but i havent seen it sold seperately.
Maybe once more cases support them we'll start to see more. On the other hand, power consumption is coming down (well apart from the GPU, but then equal performance from one generation to the next still generally uses less power.

my "ad hoc" list of good 140mms would go like this:

Yate Loon D14SL-12/D14SM-12
Scythe Kaze Maru 140mm

Evercool also do a good one, stock rpm is around 600rpm.
