Replacement for the Scythe Kama Flex 80mm (2000rpm)?

Post by saitrix » Tue Feb 23, 2010 11:58 am

Hi,

Previously I found that someone had used a Scythe Kama Flex 80mm (2000rpm version) in their antec earthwatts 500W (EA-500D) psu to quieten it down. Now as it seems my system should be pulling less than 200W (on the dc side) then I should be able to run a slower than stock fan all fine.

Now as someone else has used that fan all fine I am after one with similar characteristics/specs which would work well within a PSU. This is because I cannot find anywhere that sells the Kama Flex still. Any help would be brilliant.

Hi, I successfully swapped a Noctua R8 in to My NeoHE and made it quieter, see here.. I also tried a Sharkoon "golfball" 2000rpm fan that was about as good and not expensive. (I think £5-6 off eBay)
Good luck, Seb
