Corsair ML series

Not sure if its marketing or really a new design, but the new corsair seem interesting, although the high price makes them hard to justrify, hope spcr gets some samples to test,

High price: Maybe they come with the orchestra and choir?

Snarky mode on: they're not able to write "Levitation" correctly, go figure if they know how to make it work...

I was really interested in these, too, but after a while of searching I found Maglev bearings (Sunon Vapo) have been available for closer to twenty years now so I got whiff of heavy-duty marketing  They were used at least by Enermax a couple of years back.
I wonder these are mostly just branded Sunon Maglevs or something - blade design looks a bit similar. Anyway the price is too high.

Agreed the single fan prices look a bit hot. For example from my local hardware dealer the price for the 120mm is £18.98 to £21.98 depending on the version, either non-LED with Black blades or Red, White or Blue LEDs. Similarly the 140mm varies in price from £19.99 to £21.98. However Corsair do a dual (two fan) pack for the non-LED variant only with White blades, which improves on this significantly - £21.98 for two 120mm fans and £24.98 for two 140mm fans. The price per fan is then around the same level as Noctua Redux.

It might be worth noting that both sizes are PWM only, 400 to 2400 range for the 120mm and 400 to 2000 rpm for the 140mm.

There's a pretty good review here - http://thermalbench.com/2016/07/12/cors ... 20-mm-fan/

Sounds like we have a new KING?

Likely no (TB has a pretty different approach than SPCR).

Speaking of which, there haven't been any new posts/articles on SPCR in over a month.
Is that normal, or is the site dying?

Thanks

This is normal. It's a small site and not a lot happens in this particular niche :D
