Hey, with the help of everyone on silentpcreview.com I've picked out all of the parts to the computer I'm going to build, with the exception being the Heatsink.
I have a Athlon 64 3800 Socket 939 and Asus A8V Deluxe and a Evercase 4252.
My question is what heatsink and heatsink fan should I get? I'm looking for one that will definately fit the system, cool the processor, and be silent. Please post your suggestions, especially if you are using a heatsink with the some socket 939 processor and same board and case.

The socket is fairly close to the top of the mobo, and the Evercase 4252 has the PS close to the top of the mobo -- maybe 3/8". So, fitting a Zalman 7000 on there would be a close fit at best, or it wouldn't quite fit at worst. The one thing in your favor is that the gap in the fins would be at the top (and the bottom), so it might just squeak in there.
If it doesn't fit, or you don't want to risk it, then I'd recomment the Alpha, or posssibly the Swiftech -- or a Thermalright, would likely be great.

Hey...yeah that might have been me. 
The bracket on back of the A8V does not come off so you have to carefully mount the heatsink using the built in posts...just don't tighten too much or there will be trouble!
Yes, I have been having heat issues...I've done a couple things to help it a bit.
1. Get some Artic Silver compound and use that instead of the stuff that came with HS.
2. I was using an acousitfan 92mm fan but it was running too slow no matter where I put the temp gage, so I swapped out for a Zalman 92 that I had lying around, I set this to around 2000rpm fixed.
3. I added an Acoustifan 120mm fan to the front of my case for some intake, so now I got 1 120 out and 120 in.
All this did not add that much noise and my temps are a little better now.
Went down a good 5C or so, I hope after the compound settles I'll gain 1 or 2 more.
Before I was getting up near 68-70 when gaming, now it's like 64-65 at its peak. Still not great but I'm not sure what else to do...I'd take suggestions! It hangs around 55-56 when doing normal apps and such. before it would be near 61-62.

Just a little update: I went ahead and shorted the temp sensor on the Acoustifan and put it back on at around 2000 rpm constant, seems to be a little quieter than the Zalman 92 fan.
Temps are better now:
Apps: Doesn't really go over 62-63 now, even with Prime95 or graphic heavy gaming. Still is around 54-56 for normal use. The MB is around 30 +/- a little either way...not near 40 like it was before...so things are better and probably where I'm going to leave them unless a problem comes up. Good luck!

AstroCat, thanks for your reply. And it was your post that I was talking about. So would you recommend that I search for other heatsinks, or get the SLK948U. I did not find too many reviews about it, maybe I looked in the wrong places.
If anyone else has used this heatsink or any alternatives with a socket 939 athlon, please let me know what and how it's working.
