If *ANYONE* has got a good idea as to where to find these cards in the UK and/or english speaking countries in europe, it'd be grand.

At the moment, the French seem to be the only people having ANY HIS IceQ II cards :(.

Waaahhh - I want my upgrade :D

I made inquiries, and the ETA for this in the UK should be ca. 1-2 weeks and it ought to be available at www.scan.co.uk and/or, respectively at eBuyer.

Bring on the quiet X800's :D.

FYI - these things (both PRO and XT PE) are available now in the UK.

www.scan.co.uk

PRO is ca. £ 320
XT Platinum is ca. £ 370.

And I'm getting the latter. Finally, the last component for my high-end system ... :D

(3.4 GHz P4 running with an FX 5200 ... what a giggle).

I'm getting my x800XT shipped to me in Sweden from the US for $501 shipping included!

I haven't YET gotten mine. But I am probably going to get it at pcconnection.com.

But I would like to get it shipped with USPS and they only allow DHL which I think has a higher probability to get checked in customs, adding ~27% taxes on it! It will STILL be cheaper then the X800XT bought here!

Yeah, the VAT is tough but you are lucky to live in Sweden. I would rather pay the VAT than live in the US and get cheap computer parts. :)

I lived in Switzerland for a while and they are more expensive than Sweden and have a lot less selection.

I've looked through the PCconnection.com catalog and cannot find the HIS X800's. Are you sure they are there? If so, can you post a direct link?

Porhaps the end price is higher but I believe Sweden has the world record in taxes, porhaps switzerland is worse?

Yes they have X800XT at pcconnection, the $501 price is all included which I got from a mail reply from them.

Here's the link to PCConnection.

nifti, that isn't an Excalibur with IceQ II cooler. That's just a normal XT from ATI. Even then, it isn't in stock and it probably won't be for several weeks.

Off topic, Switzerland suffers from a lack of competition. Prices are much higher than Sweden.

I know that. But Since the ICEQII cards are so expensive I've decided to get a normal XT and then buy the new AC VGA Cooler which will be released soon.

They told me in the mail that they will have it in stock 25 July. But that doesn't mean they will have in stock then..

Ah, OK. When you said you were buying one for $500 I was quite surprised. Too bad NewEgg won't ship outside the US.

As per SCAN.CO.UK the IceQ II cards are about on par with the "normal" Pro's / XT's pricing.

What made me laugh in comparison (and made me glad I decided to chose ATI this time round for a change) were the prices for the 6800 Ultra. There's one for 550 POUNDS (not USD!) at Scan.

Holy Mackerel :).

My HIS X800 Pro arrived yesterday. So far it's been great.

At idle, I can't hear it above the CPU fan so it didn't add any noise above the case fan of my Dell 400sc that I can tell.

awx, your HIS x800 Pro card doesn't have that switch at the back for low speed-high speed right? Does it ramp up the fan speed during gameplay?

Anyway, I was looking at it the other day at the shop and holding up the box makes me feel like I was holding a Toys'R'Us toy....

Currently contemplating switching down to a Pro, as the XT-versions of the card will not be available in the UK for another 2 weeks (at least).

ARGH.

REALLY not happy with the amount of XT GPU's ATI have produced (or lack thereof, namely).
